Due to the limited supply and high cost of beech wood, in Japan, in addition to beech, Mokumezai (wood grain materials) such as African Padauk, camphor, and ash are also widely used. Mokumezai offers excellent sound quality and durability while being more affordable, making it an ideal choice for Taiko drum production in recent years.

Wood Grain

Since the wood is naturally grown, each product’s wood grain may differ naturally from the photos. These unique grain variations make each product one-of-a-kind.

The Taiko drums are made from natural wood, and even for the same product, the weight may vary due to natural differences in the wood.

Special Note

Due to the hollow nature of the Taiko drum, it requires 3 to 5 years of natural drying time. Additionally, stock levels may fluctuate, so there might be temporary stock shortages. If this occurs, we will notify you as soon as possible. Thank you for your understanding!
