Since our first-generation founder entered the industry in 1987, we have been deeply engaged in the musical instrument field for nearly 40 years, providing OEM services to musical instrument companies, educational institutions, and musicians worldwide, delivering high-quality instruments to music enthusiasts and professional performers.

Our History
As a leading taiko drum manufacturer, our story began with our first-generation founder, Mr. Mingliang Zheng. Under his father’s guidance, he learned the craft of making traditional Chinese percussion instruments from a young age. In 1987, driven by his passion for music and traditional craftsmanship, he revitalized the then-declining state-owned enterprise, Xiannyou County Woodworking Factory in Fujian Province. Through the dedication and continuous innovation of over 30 skilled wood instrument craftsmen, the company’s products, including taiko drums, gradually earned the trust of numerous musical instrument brands and musicians.
Under Mr. Zheng’s leadership, we have always upheld the perfect fusion of traditional craftsmanship and modern technology. Every taiko drum we produce is meticulously designed and rigorously tested to ensure superior sound quality and durability. Our commitment to high-quality standards has earned us an excellent reputation in the industry.
Heritage and Innovation
In 2003, the company was taken over by the founder’s son, Zheng Xican. That same year, the company expanded its production area to approximately 10,000 square meters. As a leading taiko drum manufacturer, we have continuously cultivated new craftsmen and actively introduced semi-automated production equipment, ensuring the quality of traditional craftsmanship while improving production efficiency. The new generation inherits the spirit of their predecessors and integrates modern design and technological innovation into the company. These changes have kept our company at the forefront of the industry, consistently developing and launching new products to meet the demands of contemporary music.
Today, our product range includes traditional Chinese percussion instruments, taiko drums, marimbas, xylophones, Orff instruments, and more. The Tang Zhuang Yan brand focuses on traditional Chinese percussion instruments, while the JINLEI brand specializes in high-end custom instruments, including bespoke percussion instruments tailored for professional performers. Our instruments are beloved by music enthusiasts worldwide, offering ideal choices for every stage of the musical journey, from beginners to professional performers.
