Description: Hiradaiko Ash Wood (Hollowed-out Solid Wood)
Ash Wood—A Timeless Tradition
We mainly select Ash wood from Hokkaido, Japan, and its surrounding areas. For a long time, Ash wood has been regarded as one of the top materials for making Hiradaiko, second only to Keyaki. With its beautiful grain and excellent quality, Ash wood is commonly used in high-end musical instruments and furniture. The Hiradaiko, made from hollowed-out Ash wood, boasts superior sound quality, making it an ideal material for traditional drum production.
Unparalleled Acoustic Performance
Hiradaiko made from Ash wood is renowned for its exceptional sound quality. The dense structure of Ash wood allows for rich resonance and sustained reverberation, producing deep and powerful tones that stand out among other taiko. The natural grain of Ash wood adds a visual appeal to the Hiradaiko, giving it a sense of dignity and presence. Owning a Hiradaiko made from Ash wood is like owning a true piece of traditional art.
